Now

The Middle Class White Boy Blues

The story that I tell is ridiculous I say
But I guess I must have got a little carried away
Cause all those expensive little toys I bought to keep myself amused
Gave me the middle class white boy blues

I bought a 320i with my 401-K
HDTV with my IRA
An I-POD and another notebook PC
Took out a home equity loan and bought a new Hum V
Now there's a mailbox full of bills cause I don't know when to quit
And I had to rent a warehouse to store all this shit
Got a case of carpal tunnel from writin' IOU's
Got the middle class white boy blues

I bought a lifetime membership at the health club
And Ive got a six-pack - of Sam Adams in the hot tub
Then I bought myself a Bow flex to get in shape for summer
Used it once and hauled it to my warehouse in my Hummer
I admit this is no way to live, it's a path to self-destruction
So I think I'll get some psychotherapy and liposuction
Soon as I can find a credit card that I can charge it to
Ain't that the middle class white boy blues

So I went out to my warehouse and sat on my snowmobile
And starin' at my bass boat it all seemed so surreal
Gonna have to sell my motor home, my new Jet Ski
My big John Deere, my ATV
Top of the line golf cart, new clubs in back
Most expensive on my cul-de-sac
You know I am the poster child, yes I am someone who
Has got the middle class white boy blues

I think they're gonna repossess my BMW
I got the middle class white boy blues
